As a prod member,
I want to be able to see if the upload of an analysis has failed for any of our services,
So that we in production can see if the upload has started but failed.
Context
During this week, I have been working with Balsamic and Tomte. In these pipelines, I often encounter situations where the analysis is completed, but the upload is impossible. The most common reason is a missing file. I receive no error indication in TB—everything appears fine, and I could wait until my hair turns gray for it to upload. During this time, the customer will grow angry, and in their rage, they will begin cursing my children and spreading salt on my land.
Work impact
Answer the following questions:
Is there currently a workaround for this issue? If so, what is it?
Check the crown job email. Try to re-upload and see the message again.
How much time would be saved by implementing this feature on a weekly basis?
Not much.
How many users are affected by this issue?
Most pipelines and thus most prod members
Are customers affected by this issue?
Yes, turn around time is affected.
Acceptance Criteria
I want to know in TB that an upload failed.
Notes
Suggested solution
Submit the upload command as a slurm job
