Seriously, we rely heavily on saml, I see there are some improvement & enhancement PRs, Issues.

I see @crewjam seems almost stop receiving the new PRs and discusstion, could you please confirm?

If anyone also have similar idea, I guess we can build a small community is dedicated for saml project, what do you guys think? Feel free to leave your comments.

@sword-jin Got back here by your comments and I just notice this idea get some thumbsUp. But seriously, nobody likes fork, but since our team will use this lib in the future, so feel free to submit PR to https://github.com/sword-jin/saml/

Ideally, I believe this kind of library should be managed by the community rather than relying on individuals. What do you think about this approach?
Do you have any plans to transition this fork to a community-managed model?

I am generally speaking open to community maintainer because I clearly need support with maintenance. From time to time, I've had offers of support, which have been welcome. I'm a little gun shy about the xz of it all, with respect to adding maintainers, but there have recently been a few credible offers of support. We'll see if that bears fruit.

I agree that choosing the right maintainer for the library is a critical issue. Even if a fork happens, it should be managed by trusted members.
Since some well-known OSS projects depend on this repository, I believe it would be preferable to resolve the issue without forking, if possible.
If a new maintainer is going to be selected soon, I would like to wait and see how that turns out.
