We are using mdspell for istio.io, which appears to be unmaintained.

Having to add entries to a global .spelling file is a burden on contributors, and I'd like to see spelling exceptions being allowed in each source file. See here for an example.

(Using backticks changes the rendered output, which is sub-standard.)

A quick search suggests that cspell might be a good replacement. Other suggestions welcomed.
