Similar to Hive connector's auto.purge, how about adding a Purge option when using DROP TABLE command, which is slightly different thant unregister table procedure command.
Default should be move to .Trash (like auto.purge is false), as dropping a table with a large amount of data triggers a massive number of delete requests to the Hadoop NameNode, causing response delays and system load issues.
