This is blocked until there is a version of yamlops that doesn't use the old yaml. Ideally, it'd be available via a go module that can be imported, rather than holding a copy.

I believe this is where the code was supposed to be brought in, but the PR's gone pretty stale: go-yaml/yaml#593
